Knitting and Sewing Projects

This is my third attempt at sweater knitting. It's from Debbie Bliss' Cotton Angora book, and I'm using an alpaca/silk/merino wool yarn--I like the silky soft feel of it. So far I have the back and half of the front knitted.
This is what it should look like--only in the winter white--if all goes well. The first sweater I ever knitted, two years ago, actually turned out nice and wearable. Last year's however was another story, and ended up in a bag for the thrift shop, though it's doubtful there's any human shape that could possibly make it look good.

My next sewing project ( after patching Steph's jeans with "something creative") is a tote bag out of this rooster fabric, matching fringe and red print for the lining.

And speaking of chickens, Thelma and Louise have turned up missing, apparently victims of some evil predator as evidenced by the trail of light gold feathers leading to the woods.
