a mini wallet

I'm still knitting dishcloths and really needed a little break. I wanted to sew something... I found this wonderful tutorial for a mini wallet ~ just what I've been needing for some time. Instead of fumbling with my present wallet, where cards, bills, and change are each in a different section, this little pouch will hold all three.
I have had this hedgehog fabric (from Superbuzzy) for almost a year and decided to put it to some good use. There is a thin layer of cotton batting, a red and white polka dot lining, and a little snap closure...
It was super quick and easy to sew up! I know I'll be making some more of these soon.

Hi there- I'm new to your site, but sew from home. Do you mind sharing where you purchase your "firefly farm" labels? I want to name my little sewing business and have labels made. Thank you!

  30. Hi Rachel!

Thank you so much for your kind words, and patience! I know I must sound idiotic, but when I went to find the catalog, from which I ordered my Firefly Farm labels, I couldn’t locate it. It had been quite some time since I’ve ordered them, and I was not even sure which sewing supply catalog to look for! Anyway, today I found it buried in a basket of other catalogs, and I hope it is not too late to be of some help.

The company’s name is Newark Dressmaker Supply, Inc., and they also have a website at newarkdress.com. I ordered the 5/16 inch single line tape – sew-in, which is found at this link: http://www.newarkdress.com/NameTapes.html
Rachel, I’m really sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner. Best wishes for success with your sewing business!
    Deb
