my weekend

Last Thursday we packed up the camper and headed to the lake on Friday for a long weekend. Warm sunny weather is not to be taken for granted in our area in October, so we made the most of it.
Lots of time for relaxing in the sun, bike riding, knitting, reading, campfires with family, and walks...

My dream is to someday live on the lake in a little cottage; until then I savor each visit!

  1. Great weekend getaway, such a beautiful setting and you did all the things I enjoy doing while camping. Are you able to fish the lake?

I was in the napkin swap too (my first swap) and Aimee sent me the sweetest embroidered napkins...they are darling, love yours too. Linda

  6. What glorious photos! They took me away from the heat and mugginess of Atlanta. What a wonderful way to spend a weekend. So glad you could do that.

  7. I just recently came across your blog and I have enjoyed it very much. Your life is so different from mine. My ancestors (not too many generations back) were from New York State. I went back to the fingerlakes area 2 summers ago to see it. (we all live in CA now.) I wonder if this is the area you were visiting. Lovely pictures.

  15. Such beautiful pictures! I would love to be there right now! I think a little cottage by the lake sounds heavenly but alas, my hubby loves his mountains! He's indifferent to the water.

  19. Hi Deb!
What a wonderful day out! It looks so peaceful there at the riverside. I am so fond of the ocean, and i could be happy just sitting alone by the lake, fishing, having picnic or just looking at the view. Lovely colours, though it is not that yellow as here yet. Well, around my house anyway :)
So, you are knitting! Well, i am sewing, and sewing some more. Just orders, and i haven`t had the time or enthusiasm to finnish my totebag. OH, i am so bad..It has taken to long. But my first 3 attempts didn`t go very well, i almost lost the faith that i could make one. I know, it isn`t that difficult, but i am just not good in reading tutorials. And this one is in English too, and i am a Norwegian girl..Ah well, i am not complaining, it goes very well at the moment. I have made lists now, yes, and i have made my self clear that i have to finnish something before i start a new project, otherwise my house will overflow with unfinnished projects!
I hope your days are good Deb, it sounds like it :) It is always nice to see what you are up to :)
    Aina
