the semi-annual library book sale

Our local library recently held its twice annual book sale to raise money. I always seem to find something good~some years, a whole book bag filled to overflowing.
This year:
Wives & Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskill (of which BBC did a miniseries)
The Black Arrow by Robert Lewis Stevenson
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
The Complete Book of Knitting (I've been wanting a good knitting reference book)
Quick Country Decorating
an issue of Blueprint magazine
and
Country Chic by Liezel Norval-Kruger

I was happy!

Here are some photos from Country Chic which I especially like and which you may find inspiring...

And a note to Karen, who had a question about the bias tape maker~please e-mail me as I don't seem to have your e-mail address ~ thanks!!

If you ever tire of the Country Chic book you can just send it on down to Georgia!! I will have to check and see if our Library has book sales.

  9. We're big supporters of our library book sale, only our books are going in the other direction--as donations. A friend of mine who knows I love to read, just brought me a huge box of novels. Looks like both you and I will have our noses in books for a while. Bliss!

  12. Oh, I love library book sales, especially the once or twice a years ones. Our local library has a book store. That's just not as fun, although I do check it out quite often. Looks like you got some good ones!
