some 'cozy' sewing

I've been having a lot of fun sewing tea cozies and matching patchwork teapot mats...some from vintage linens, and some I have embroidered myself on new linen.

If your teapot needs a new winter wardrobe, these sets plus a couple more can be found at the Firefly Farm shop.

  3. Lovely work you do.

This is about your previous post -- I am just awestruck by how much the view of fields out the window above "have a restful day" is just like the one I grew up with!

    Thanks for the memory.

Love your banner from your previous post, it turned out great. I printed out the letters and plan to make one for next year. A happy weekend to you. Linda

  9. I love your tea cozies. You may not want to let our your trade secret but I was wondering how do you sew up a tea cozy without having to quilt the fabric? I love the idea of embroidering one for my home, but don't want to ruin the design by quilting the very layers that keep the tea cozy!

  11. beautiful and I tried your pumpkin pie recipe for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it---except I am on a gluten free diet so I omitted the crust===and for the top I used some gluten free pancake mix to replace the little bit of flour in the toping--I use pecans instead of walnuts---but it was wonderful!!

What a pretty tea cozy! Did you embroider it on linen? How smart! I also am interested in embroidery, crossitch, and now I am a knitting fanatic-i am currently knitting some more fingerless gloves for Christmas presents. I love homemade gifts. Blessings, Rose
