it all started with some new pillow covers...

Yesterday, in my quest for spring, I decided to finally use some of this rose fabric for new pillow covers in the living room. One for this chair...

...and one for the wing chair...

One thing led to another, and I spent the rest of yesterday and most of today painting an old mirror for the mantle, doing a little spring cleaning, changing out some furniture, and rearranging part of the room. I wanted to make a couple more pillow covers for the couch, but I think I'll call it quits for today!

Enjoy your evening!

How wonderful to finally have it all ready :)I sense your wish for warmer days, for spring, and your lovely rose China makes it all worth waiting for. And with the spring we all have an urge to clean, move things arond and make things inviting and fresh again. Your changes in your livingroom seems to fill you with joy, no wonder! You wouldn`t believe it, but I have had a springclean myself today! I am totally bone-tired from cleaning, tidying up and moving stuff around. And I have been painting too. Guess we both have had our portion! :)) I am so glad I took the time to pay you a visit again, I love your blog.

Enjoy all the new changes and take good care!

I found some hold backs for my curtains, and once Harvey puts them up for me I will take a photo.

I wanted to join the choir and sing this song:
You have beautiful taste, are very artistic and creative, and know how to get things done!
Thanks for sharing all your wondeful projects and your inspiration.
    I adore your kitchen!
As I was Spring cleaning both you and Clarice came to mind as I was inspired by both of you.
I love the white covers on your chairs and am wondering if Ikea paid a visit to your home.;)
I also think Cath Kidston and Amy Butler dropped by with fabric for you!:)
Your home is the epitome of COSY!
    Thanks for sharing!

  16. I absolutely love your pillows. I'm also loving the "not square" pillows lately. I don't know about you, but when I first learned to sew (in the Dark Ages) all pillows were square and you could find a form for them. I like the rectangular pillows and the huge bed pillows and the little heart pillows and all those different shapes. Can you tell I'm just a little caught up in pillows lately? They really do spruce things up with very little effort and very little fabric.

P.S. I also adore your white furniture. I dream of having white slipcovers someday when my husband has a less-dirty job. And, when my dog doesn't live inside. And, when my children are just a bit older.
