a bit of the day

~researching colleges~
for the youngest, who has requested somewhere warm & sunny...

~a little knitting squeezed in~

I've had this yarn leftover...not even sure what exactly it is, but I knew it would be perfect for the chunky knit beanie.

I love the yarn! It looks so fun! It seems like it would be difficult to knit though since it is soo thick?? I can't wait to see what you create!!! :)

  6. I love the yarn. I have been knitting hats lately. I've done three in the past month and had a great time seeing my girls put them on and model for me.
I'm back to socks right now but always have a dishcloth on the needles, too.
I love your knitting posts, well, I love all your posts. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

  8. Great patterns! Sunny colleges where we have had children are University of Florida, and Florida Southern. Both great schools! We live in Charlottesvile Va. where the median temp. in winter is about 40, and lots of sun. No snow yet this winter either! ( I am from Michigan, and would like some of the white stuff !!!)

  15. Thanks for posting the Junk Style on your sidebar. I was really curious about the book since I have started in that direction with my decorating. I just got it today and I love the pictures. I think it's a neat book that I can refer back when I need inspiration. Thanks again!

  20. I'll put my vote in for Clemson!! Okay, so it does get chilly there in the winter, but not too bad! Or there's always Florida State, or Valdosta State, or, well, yeah, I LIVE in South Georgia, so there! Wait, wait, wait, Charleston! That's where I want to go!

UT Austin is awesome. Most awesome public university I have ever come across. I think it's a great deal for the money. Duke is great, too, and quite temperate.
