my Spring cardigan

The Garter Yoke Cardi, finished.  Perfect for throwing over a t-shirt on our cold Spring mornings.  I'm happy with it, it fits well and is very comfortable--I lengthened the sleeves and made a few other modifications which are noted on my Ravelry page.
I have several unfinished projects on needles, which should be enough to keep me busy over the spring/summer when there's not so much time to knit.  I've been working on a Baktus, slowly; there's a vest, a v-neck sweater, and a dishcloth also waiting...please, don't let me start anything new!
Do you find knitting projects easier to start than finish?

I, too, get more than one project going at a time! I need more hands to knit with! ;)

  3. Beautiful! Really makes me wish I could knit! I just can't seem to be able to find crochet patterns that put out a nice sweater like that one!

  5. Very pretty and light. I absolutly find that it is way easier to start projects than to finish. I finally finished a poncho inteneded to use up leftover yarns, now I need to finish the double-sided vest I am working on, then the various fancy barbie doll costumes, then the crocheted afghan..........

  9. Love the cardi, Deb! It turned out great and I just love the creamy color.
You will love the v-neck - I've knit that exact same pattern and it is one of my very favorites.
Oh, and casting on always seems to go a lot faster than the casting off :)

  10. Yes - always SO much easier to start than finish... guilty of finishing all the pieces and then leaving the piecing together till next season!!

  12. I love the simplicity of your cardigan. I've been wanting something simple for cool Spring and Summer (and Fall) days. That's just perfect! Yes, I start knitting projects and don't finish them. The one that is paying off right now is a darling baby girl sweater and hat set I started for a gift a couple of years ago. Changed direction and gave another gift, set this set aside and now I've pulled it out to finish for our new granddaughter who will arrive in August. Sometimes procrastination pays off!

I have "startitis" rather than "Finishitis" but the joy of a completed project is worth it! Beautiful job!

  17. Wow - that turned out nicely!! Ohhhh - I really like your in-progress projects too. So please finish them so we can see them too (she said preachin' to anyone but herself). I have one completed sock of my first pair I ever attempted. I may have to call it a Christmas stocking since there is still only one after ten years!

  18. So very pretty! Looks great on you, too. I have a hard time making anything (whether sewing or knitting) that looks right on me once I've finished it. Such neat work you do!

  21. Your sweater is lovely! I always enjoy starting knitting projects and really have to discipline myself not to get too many in process at one time.

  25. Hi, just found your blog via all free knitting, you do the most amazing stuff!!! Your cardi is just lovely. Your sewing projects are so pretty; I bought myself a sewing machine last year but I just can't get into it, even sewing in a straight line posses many problems for me. Can't wait to get started on a few of your dish cloth patterns.
