back to normal

I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one!...I enjoyed family home from
work and school for the week,
a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixings,
and a whole pumpkin pie all to myself {not all in one sitting,
I promise!}
And my 'black Friday' shopping consisted of a trip
to the feed store for chicken feed and shavings
where thankfully there were no mobs of people
looking for a deal :)

I took some time out to do a bit of crafting and made a pair
of earrings using found beach glass { from Lake Ontario } and
some vintage mother of pearl beads.
Using a tiny diamond drill bit was a challenge
and a little frustrating at times,
but after many broken pieces of glass, persistance won out!

This week life is settling back to normal routines
and simple pleasures...tea with orange pecan scones
and a new tote bag in progress.

Do you know Advent starts this Sunday?

  1. Gorgeous earrings! I have never found beach glass & I live a stones throw from Lake Ontario :-) I remember when you first posted your orange pecan scones. I jotted down the recipe and have made them ever since ~ they became an instant family favourite!
