She was an author in the 1940's and 50's, who wrote about nature, homemaking, her dogs. Check your library for any of her books. They just might help you get through this long winter. Nothing is better for the mood and your eyes, with a few glimpse of sunshine. No wonder that the snow is filled with footprints from all the cute little creatures that surround your house and garden. Beautiful pictures Deb!! Love your horses :)

Myself is sitting here with a cup of tea, looking out and see nothing else than a stormy wind that`s doing nothing good with the plants. The poor cats are running around trying to get away from the wind. Julie is luckily inside, curled up in her favourite chair.

So what are you working on these days? I am making a few embroideries. And this weekend we are going to paint a cabinet.

Hope you are still enjoying sunny days!
Hug from AinaMODERN COUNTRYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10002515402843289460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15599377.post-32595755847576360102008-01-31T04:39:00.000-05:002008-01-31T04:39:00.000-05:00Thrilled to see you back in action! We have had no snow as yet here in England but it has been bright, dry and cold for the last few days.It is truly wonderful to hang the laundry outside to dry, and see all the snowdrops which are out already and the daffodils etc all shooting above the ground. The birds are starting to sing (the robin sings all winter) but no other bird does. I love the winter if it is snowy, frosty or sunny and cold but I find dark rainy days quite depressing.Rosemary UKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11736660949097379171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15599377.post-23315509095309281412008-01-29T21:01:00.000-05:002008-01-29T21:01:00.000-05:00What absolutely gorgeous photos. We were very warm until a front started rolling through - the wind kicked up and now the temps are dropping. It's supposed to rain and be in the 30's for a few days.

I'm so happy that you got your much needed sun.
