the weekend

My day of rest...
...some magazines, some knitting and a cozy fire in the woodstove. And I think I'll check out a local craft show, if I can bear to venture out into the cold.
Have a restful day!

I love the variegated blue yarn you are using. The shawl you are knitting looks like it would be toasty warm sitting by the wood stove.

    Have a wonderful day.

What a cozy weekend you have had. I love sitting next to my wood stove knitting away with my girls. We are working on really heavy wool sweaters for the winter. It is getting so so cold here! I also love reading those cozy knitting mysteries during the winter. Blessings, Rose

  12. Wildside ~ yes, those little cones are from our English Alders, which we planted along the length of one of our lanes.

I just have to decorate them. This were my first ones. Well, this year everything was my first! (i mean needlework) :))

you knit such beautiful things! I just posted my pattern for fingerless gloves-though the ones you knitted look lovely. I just hope I got the pattern right. I knit the gloves all the time for my boys and my husband and myself-it is always from memory-they are not fancy but they are warm and cosy! Blessings, Rose
