As yard sale/flea market season draws to a close, I am happy to have found a few end of season bargains. This enamelware container is perfect for storing baking soda for homemade cleaning recipes...
I couldn't resist this little drying rack for a quarter...
...or these linens which I found at the flea market...
Maybe some of these will become tea cozies {now that Fall is in the air I think we will need a few for the shop}. All sewing projects have been sadly neglected of late, so I'm looking forward to 'dusting off' the sewing machine as the days get cooler.
the tag sales are way better in your neck of the woods than mine! care to pay $250 for three pieces of wood nailed together by grandpa? but its antique! sigh.
ReplyDeletereally loving that dryer thingie...
cheers!
I'm planning to start sewing too!

Oh, you found such wonderful goodies. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteNice finds and picture of your laundry room,
ReplyDeleteI too am on the hunt.. looking for linen in thrift stores.
Time to sew with fall a heartbeat away.
Mim
What lovely finds. I noticed in the background, behind the drying rack, your washer and dryer. I am shopping for a new set and was wondering if you like yours and which set it is?
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. Perhaps I gave up on garage sales too quickly. All I ever seem to find are old clothes that I really am not interested in.
ReplyDeleteYou did really well!
I can't wait to really getting to sew again. Gardening has took all my time. I have been checking to see if you have posted anything lately. I am glad to see you are back. If you are like me, this is a very busy time of year.
ReplyDeleteDeb, those linens are beautiful. Some of them will make lovely tea cosies. Have fun in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
These are lovely finds Deb! With the cooler weather arriving hopefully there will be a bit more time for sewing!

Hi Deb: Love the linens....my daughter has rubbed off on me and now I am slowly finding a few bargains here and there. I am looking for just the right container to hold my dry laundry detergent next.

You got that drying rack for a quarter?! Way to go! Love the enamel thing a lot, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely yard sale find. I've been purchasing items at yard sales to keep me busy with projects during our soon coming Michigan winter.

Sher
Love all your finds especially the linens! You definitely have access to good yard sales.

ReplyDeleteThank you for access to a new {for me}site for homemade cleaning products I always want to google it but spend to much time reading my favorite blogs. You've made it easy for me.

ReplyDeleteOoooooo, such lovely things!!
ReplyDeleteIts really all cute as can be, but that drying rack for a quarter, holy cow!!! I have an old one that is a shelf, and pulls out from the wall. Love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such good luck!! Yes, it is tea time isn't it :)

I want your clothes dryer.. If it comes up missing, you can find it in Western NY.. but it's pretty rural out here so you might as well give up trying ;-)
ReplyDeleteAt least I'll leave you TWO quarters on the counter.
ohhh love it all as usual. I have an old vintage drying rack as well. cherry
ReplyDeleteFunny, the end of your yard season marks the beginning of ours! We have ours in the spring and fall. Hopefully I will go next week!
ReplyDeleteYou found wonderful things, Deb! I love the linens!

I have been making my own cleaners for about four years now. I am with you, I will never go back to the harsh store bought variety, especially with little ones around. You found some lovely things...I love finding good things at yard sales.
ReplyDeleteSarah :)
All the goodies you found and purchased are things I would have bought for myself...IF we had the same great tag sales here as you do. I LOVE them all; the linens will be lovely no matter what you decide to make or do with them...congrats on your awesome finds...and your incredible eye for beauty! And I must confess, I'm a little partial to that clothes hanger thingy!! Too sweet!

Hi Mim,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and for all your kind comments! My washer and dryer are Maytags, and I really love them. As you saw, they are stackable and the washer is front-loading. After a year and a half I have no complaints with them and no service calls needed.
Best wishes with your shopping,
Deb

I can not subcribe to your blog, for some reason it will not let me.
I am so jealous of your laundry room! You found the drying rack for a quarter?! Way to go! I also didn't know that you could stack front-loaders; I have front loaders too, and that would be a big space saver! One last thing- I love those vintage mason jars atop your cabinet :) You have quite a knack for making things look so country and cozy!
