a little sewing

"It is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied."
Nathaniel Hawthorne ~ The Marble Faun

Instead of knitting, a little hand sewing with morning tea ~ nice and relaxing and not far from the warmth of the woodstove.

It's the very cute Little House ornament found here.

Oh I'd love to sit by the wood stove and stitch, sounds so good.

  3. What a wonderful way to start your day Deb!! I love your house, it is so warm and welcoming.
I have enjoyed your latest work and I am very impressed by the Teapot "warmer" (is that what you call it?). It is so fun and pretty!

I hope you will enjoy a great weekend, so long friend!

  9. please forgive me for asking this......i haev been trying to make this little house as well. mine keeps turning out like a melting hershey's kiss! the downloadable directions show the "felt" piece completely different as the one in the photo tutorial. did you adjust your pattern so it worked for you or what did you do? thank you so much for your time!
