The view out my kitchen window today was all gray and dismal with some drizzle. Lucky I have this pink rose, clipped from the rose bush by the front door, to distract me from the gloom...
The view from my sewing table is much more encouraging... ...some of my most favorite things::vintage linens picked up at the flea market, some Japanese fabric, the color red, simple knitted squares of soft cotton yarn, and a little bit of embroidery... Hopefully to all come together for my latest project...stay tuned.
Can't wait to see what you make! Nothing like some fresh flowers to brighten up a dreary day.
ReplyDeleteCan I come over to your house & play with all your treasures?? Besides, your rose looks much nicer than all our snow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed stopping by again! We had a lovely sunny day - quite warm, then it became cloudy and muggy, now we have a storm at 7.15pm and its cooled down a lot. I need to go out in it, and will need to change out of my spring/summer clothes.
ReplyDeleteOoh, lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with all those different things!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the new project. You do such wonderful things!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how a simple flower can brighten the day?
We are having a lovely day-60's and sunny which is NOT normal for this area for this time of year but we'll take it. Wanted to thank you for your waffle knit dishcloth. Am on my 3rd one. Love making them!

I clipped the last white rose from the garden...a survivor of several below freezing nights. Hate to see it all come to an end. Seems once November hits "it's always winter and never spring". May is such a long ways away!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what's cookin' in your workshop!

I too am knitting squares, currently in the middle of enjoying some simple knitting as I am making wash cloths! I cannot wait to see what you are making, it looks beautiful already! I really do love the red! Enjoy a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteSmiles...

A pretty pink rose always bightens the day and I wonder what neat project you are making...hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteIt has been a dismal and gloomy day here in Alabama also. It is also quite cold. Looking at some of your projects makes me wish I had learned to knit.
ReplyDeleteWonderful assortment of "favourite things" Deb ... looking forward to seeing what you are creating on your sewing table :-)Love the little embroidered Robin.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through "Artful Blogging" and I love it! Yesterday I started one of your dishclothes for a Christmas present and the pattern is fun and pretty...and it is working up so quick. I've got so many scarves that have been on the needles for years and it is nice having a project I can see finishing! Look forward to reading future posts!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteLOVE your blog. I found it through the Artful Blogging magazine. I got lost in all your previous posts and really enjoyed all you had to share so far. I'll be a frequent visitor :)
Hi Deb! Your window looks so charming with the rose in a simple vintage bottle. It looks like either a curtain or linen dishtowel with a bit of lace edging peeking out next to it. Very cute.

oh I can't wait to see what you have been up too!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been gloomy here also. I can't wait to see what the next project is.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ruth
