Lots of busy activity here this past week::
the house has been decorated,
just a few finishing touches left to do.
Some cookies have been baked::chocolate covered shortbread
cherry filled crescents
peanut butter with chocolate kisses
chocolate-orange biscotti
buttercream-frosted cut-outs
&
cherry double chocolate cookies
A tree was found yesterday at a local tree farm,
and today was decorated.

There is not much method to my madness,
I just wanted to get it started--finally!
Whether I get it finished is another story...
And, in the evening I sit and do a few rows on something for me...

Love the wreath in the top photo on this blog. I assume those are just assorted sizes of glass balls. Can you comment on how you made it - the base, and how they are fastened on. It's absolutely beautiful!

I also wanted to tell you how much I love your coffee cup cozy. I sent it to my knitting and crochet teacher and had her do a class on it last month. Everyone loved it! One of the girls made one with a multi-colored chenille yarn, and it was gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteI love the choir girl candle. I have a choir boy that matches. It always brings fond memories from my childhood. I am guessing these candles are at least 40 years old. Thanks for the photo, it is nice to know that others cherish their holiday memories too.

I love your little choir girl candle. I had a very old one from my childhood, also a chorister (maybe more clearly a boy), and I think eventually he melted down and I had to get rid of him. But he was from my very own history, and I loved him for many years.
