my favorite new knit

Right before my trip to Florida,
I finished my third sweater from
recycled yarn.
The two pictures below are
of the 'before' sweater that I
purchased for $1 at the thrift store
and previously posted here...

After unraveling the bulky weight wool
& angora blend yarn,
I started on the oatmeal pullover
by Jane Richmond.
~
Here's the 'after'...

I went with full length sleeves
and made a couple other modifications,
which can be found on my
~
I love this sweater--the fit is perfect,
it's comfy, cozy, and was
an easy knit.
And, it only cost a dollar in yarn.

I started to unravel a sweater to use the yarn for weaving. I got so far, then gave up. The yarn certainly wasn't as nice as yours. I'm surprised wool and angora wouldn't have been difficult to unravel. The end result is gorgeous, something to really be proud of in more ways than one!

  6. Nice! You did a beautiful job...I like it even better than the before picture. It looks scrumptiously soft, too. It looks great on you!
