the weekend

This past weekend flew by as weekends tend to do
when filled with much goodness:
  • a trip to the farmers' market
  • some antique browsing
  • local peaches-sweet and delicious
  • lots of blueberries still being picked
  • banana bread made
  • and finally, those zinnias were picked--aren't the green envy's great?

  1. I've got to admit..the little donkey caught my eye being in town on the sidewalk...and then he wasn't mentioned. He was at the Farmers Market? I love the zinnias...I planted some more awhile back.

  6. I love your bread box. I see them, and forget that I would like to paint one also....and then I saw one over the weekend, but it opened at the top. So sorry for the tragedy in your community. Thoughts and prayers.

  7. I love this post! It reminds of that song every single one of my grade school music teachers had us sing: "I got a mule; her name is Sal. 15 years on the Erie canal!"

  8. Yikes, Deb, I drove right past there on Saturday on the way to baseball. I live about four blocks west if there. Next time I drive by I will look for a donkey and stop and say hello!
