In the garden:
- picking green beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and {one little} eggplant
- digging red potatoes
- weeding and cleaning out some raised beds that are finished
- picking raspberries and the last of the blueberries
- watching the mammoth sunflowers grow almost as tall as the hen house
- baking lemon blueberry muffins
- canning tomatoes and tomato sauce
- freezing green beans
- making peach shortcake and peach custard kuchen with a half bushel of peaches from a farm stand
- making sourdough pancakes, biscuits, and banana bread; and homemade yogurt and granola

Your weekend sounds like mine....canning tomatoes,making yogurt,grating zucchini and then baking some wonderful zuke muffins. Love your pictures.

HI I love your photos, forgive me but the flowers 4 th from the top, what are they called again I quite like them and would like to plant some, I really need some lessons in naming flowers lol
ReplyDeleteSharon, those are black-eyed susans--proper name, rudbeckia. I am terrible at remembering certain plant names, but these have been a favorite since I was little.

holy crow you are so organised, inside and out, I am so impressed. Your garden is wonderful and you make me tired with all of your projects doing and done :-)...I see to the right of me there is a new dishcloth to check out, blue green and round. Great post.

You've been busy...how satisfying to be able to put down in writing what you've been doing and then read it through. Often we think we haven't got much done but when you look back over exactly what we have done we can see this isn't so.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lynn...you are very organized. I have about 4 organized days a month, the rest....don't ask. Lots of baking going on in blogland, this third post this morning with something delicious. Lemon. Blueberry. Muffins....probably great with coffee or tea. Thanks for sharing.
