New Look 6515

Another bit of summer wardrobe sewing completed. The pattern is New Look 6515, bought back in April, and the fabric is a printed cotton lawn, which I found at Walmart. I really love the fabric. I left off the ties that were called for and had to make a few adjustments to the size. It has a side zipper which I'm still not sure I put in exactly right, but it seems to work and look o.k., so I'm happy. It's much lower cut than I had hoped, but luckily today I found a camisole to match...Thank you all for stopping by and for your encouraging comments and e-mails. I want to reply and answer your questions, and I really do hope to get going on that after the holiday.

Tomorrow we're headed over to my mom & dad's to celebrate the Fourth ~ do you have any special plans for the day?

  2. Very pretty. I just got some fabric from Walmart for $1.00 a yard. I don't really sew, but i'm going to use it in the laudryroom as a wall treatment. couldn't beat the price.

  4. I love that top. That is cute and looks like it wouldnt' be a hard one to make.

I heard that our Walmart is going to quit selling fabric. Is yours? They said it was cause they were losing money in that department. Huh?

  16. Oh, such a cute little shirt! It looks so pretty, cool and summery.

Our closest 2 Walmarts have quit selling fabric, BUT, we have a brand new, lovely sewing shop that just opened recently. The great thing is that she is only 10 minutes from my house! The only bad thing is that she doesn't sell "regular" patterns like Simplicity, New Look, McCalls, etc. She does have great fabric though.

    Thanks for sharing your pictures.
