It's a beautiful, sunny fall day and about 60 degrees here today--hard to believe it was in the 20's this morning.
It's one of those hustle & bustle sort of days with laundry to catch up on from the weekend and some tidying up and baking for a little tea party here tomorrow morning.
As I straightened and cleaned, I took some pictures--it's not that often that it looks so neat :)
A little Autumn decorating in the foyer...
...and on the living room table...
A peek at the new flooring--we are not completely done yet as we still need to finish laying the hallway, but at least most of the living room is back to normal...
Beautiful autumnal homeiness!

Thank you for sharing your corners, they are so cozy.
ReplyDeleteSo cozy and comfy! I love the floors! Nothing like a little wood under the feet, is there? :)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so clean and fresh - love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the floor, love the basket of yarn waiting for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
I love seeing someone from New York pull off what many can't do. Taking advantage of the rare sunshine and bringing in the season's colors.. love the pictures! That Boo garland is adorable too!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of your home are so cozy and serene. And I so admire your projects. I think I may need to try the knitted dishcloths!
ReplyDeleteBut I do have a question / challenge for you ...
I would love, love to hear your reflections on your life when your children were little and underfoot. I'd enjoy hearing your advice about creating a lovely, serene(ish), homey home for a young family. I realize that all-white furniture and hours upon hours to craft and bake are not a reality for me right now, and I'm sure that hasn't always been your reality either. So ... advice?? Tips??
Thank you, thank you!!
Your home looks so cozy and comfy! I love the look of your fireplace - it's similar to our fireplace redo. I've never regretted the hard work it took to make it so nice. Thanks for sharing your home with us today.

Thank you for the beautiful glimpses of your home. It is all so welcoming and cozy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely home you have!
ReplyDeleteoh! So that is what my "new" dresser is to look like!! Cool...
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I recently "inherited" a family heirloom in the way of this (same type) dresser. All that we need to do is to mount the swan necks and replace the mirror. I like it for a foyer piece. Everything in your home is lovely, and I appreciate your showing it...
I just happened to read through the comments and I agree with Wendy. I would love to hear "your heart journey" through, to this point. If you care (or dare) to share.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe floor is lovely, love the chest in there...
Thanks for sharing!
Your home and the pictures are lovely. I especially like the little Halloween banner. Did you make it? It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful! Love the white pumpkins (my favorite), love the usage of the dresser in the entrance (I like to use furniture in different settings)... all is charming and welcoming. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour house is lovely!

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing photo's of your home - I want to move right in, I love it so much. All your fall decorations are lovely but I am really drawn to the pumkins surrounded by colorful leaves - it makes me smile. Thanks

Welcoming and lovely. How nice is that?
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so perfectly decorated & accessorized. Was that pumpkin really white, or did you paint it? I love it!!

Dear Deb, your floors look exactly what we have been looking for. However, I don't understand about the procedure. Did you install plank floors and didn't like the look and then decided to paint? What kind of paint did you use? Could I tempt you to come over and start mine? Your home is very charming.
ReplyDeleteDeb, your floors are beautful, and I adore the wall color in this room. Can you share the brand and name with me?
