my new shawlette

This is the Storm Cloud Shawlette by Hanna Breetz...

I made one for a Christmas gift and liked it so much that I made this one for myself.

It makes a beautiful 'shawlette'...

...or can be wrapped around the neck like a scarf,
which I have done often when heading out into the cold, blustery outdoors this winter.

Pattern: Storm Cloud Shawlette with ruffle edge
Yarn: KnitPicks Palette fingering weight yarn, color: cotton candy
Needles: size 8 circular
A great pattern--if you can do garter stitch and yarn overs, you can make this!

  1. That is super cute! I like the dual-purposeness of a shawlette/scarf.

  18. OH this is so uncommon. Just finished a "poncho" that turned into something like your shawlette. Making a poncho from an unfimiliar pattern turned out to be a beautiful little "shawlette" for the little two year old of a friend. Thank you for giving my creation a name, if I may borrow it for this little adorable child. It is pink, white and rose. Amazing! At least you had a pattern and can replicate your creation. Mine will be one of a kind for I have no idea what happened and do not think I will try to figure it out. Jan
