my new & improved workspace

Major cleaning, organizing, and rearranging
have been going on in my workroom,
and it all began with this
great unit...

Would you believe it was salvaged from
a dumpster - years ago - and has
been in our basement woodworking shop.
Mike was kind enough to let me have it
for my own organizing needs.

An old farmhouse table has been put
under the window for my sewing machine;
the light is so much better here...

I am loving my new sewing ~ crafting nook!
More pictures of the rest of the room
next time,
~Deb

It looks so fantastic, Debbie! I'd love to be able to work in a space like that! I can't believe that cubby-shelf unit was in the dumpster! It's crazy what people will throw away!

  6. Love, love, love the wall unit! The best kind of organizing - looks great, accommodates lots of different items and you can see them! Doesn't get any better than that. You are a decorating genius. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photos.

I am envious! I might have to get my hubby to build me something like that! That is a nifty unit.

  12. I am sooo jealous of your organized space. I am about to do the same to mine. I have a jumbled up ,mess that makes it hard to be really creative. I have been using my daughter's room to sew because she has been living in Hawaii for a few months but she is returning in two weeks and I have to get out of her room. I have a studio but it is a mess so I guess I will be working on organizing my studio. I am jealous of your wonderful cabinet! I am enjoying your blog. Thanks for showing us into your craft area.

  16. Thanks Jaimie! My husband's friend actually found two in the dumpster, so they each took one.
