simple summer pleasures

Early morning is my favorite time to pick berries--the air is cool and the song birds are happily singing.  The only other sound is that of bees buzzing or the hens clucking.
My reward, besides the basket of berries, is a freshly baked lemon cake with my mid-morning pot of tea.
How do you reward yourself for work well done?

Rewarding myself...Deb, I'm on a journey of deliberately slowing down to enjoy tea (from a teacup, made in a pot), and cake (served on a plate, with a fork)....seated....even if I'm on my own...and not: mug, in hand, standing....thinking about the next "to-do."
As I remind myself so often: I only have "now."
