It's a warm, blustery, 60 degrees F, on this last day of February. On our walk I noticed a dandelion in bloom and, in my garden, the tulips are starting to push up out of the soil. The bud's are swelling on the lilac bushes, and we heard the very first Canadian geese fly overhead last week. There is also a winter storm watch for this weekend!
Life is returning to normal after our recent trip to visit family in Florida. The sunshine and 80 degree temps revived our winter-weary spirits. We boated, walked and had a picnic lunch on Peanut Island, did some sightseeing, and walked along the ocean sand. Home again, I have been sewing some new bags for the shop and am determined to get going on my Spring cleaning. I also have plenty of trim and door painting left to do as it slowly gets installed.
I hope that you all are enjoying the promise of Spring (or already in the midst of Springtime) and that everything is well with you. If you would like to leave a comment I would love to hear how you have been and what you may be working on of late!

Welcome Back!!!! Oh, how I have missed your blog posts. I do keep up on Instagram, but it's just not the same. Just stopped over to your shop and snagged the larger black/white zipper pouch. Love it. Enjoy your day, we have pretty good weather as well for past 2 days. ~ Mary Lea

As always I enjoyed your post. It is much the same here in west-central Illinois. Today it topped at 58 and I was able to enjoy a 6 mile bike ride. It's the fourth one I have been able to take in February! 😍 However, I doubt that we are done with the snow. I am the follower who DM you on IG asking for the pattern of the lovely

DeleteDeb, I enjoyed your pics and the little update. Your home is looking so beautiful. What color is your trim? I love it. It's still wintry up north for us. Still over a foot of snow on the ground, but it is warming up. We are almost done lambing and will start calving next (one on the ground so far). It's good to "see" you! ~Jody

Hi Deb! I am knitting a sweater for moi! It's an adventure, but it's coming along nicely. The merino/alpaca blend keeps me going. We are expecting a storm today after two days of glorious weather. All the best to you.

We'll have to check out the Peanut Island next time we're in Palm Beach. I've been learning to make my own jewelry, earrings in particular, pretty easy to do.

DeleteMaking earrings is fun isn't it; I made myself several pairs some years ago and now it's rare that I buy any.
