finally finished

The picture below is from the Lion Brand yarn catalog. When I saw the pink and green Nancy Meier tea cosy I loved it, even though I would never have chosen these colors on my own. And, I sent for the pattern {here}...2 years ago...

So, I'm especially happy that it is finally finished and fits my 4 cup brown betty teapot perfectly...

Pattern::Nancy Meier's Tea Cosy from Lion Brand Yarn

Yarn Used::Lion Wool #132 Lemongrass & #140 Rose {1 skein each for 4 cup size}

Needles::Pair of size 5 {3.75mm} straight needles

Gauge::5.5 sts = 1 inch in stockinette stitch

Here's a new recipe I tried for Pumpkin Chip cookies ~ perfect with a cup of tea.

1 cup butter, softened::1 cup sugar::1 egg::1 tsp vanilla::1 cup canned pumpkin::2 cups flour::1 tsp baking powder::1 tsp baking soda::1 tsp cinnamon::1/2 tsp salt::1 cup dark chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar, mix in wet ingredients, mix in dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonful onto baking sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

  7. I love the tea cozy! I have a pumpkin teapot (and sugar bowl and creamer to match) and I've been wanting to knit up a cozy for my tea pot for when I'm sitting out in the sun room knitting and sipping my tea. Don't want it getting cold on me. That one is adorable! I could make one in brown/orange to match my teapot! :)

    And I was planning to make a pumpkin bread tomorrow, but now I'm thinking about those cookies! YUM!!!!!

  15. Thank you for the wonderful pumpkin cookie recipe. It is as moist and soft as a pumpkin cake and I used white chocolate chips, as I think they are nicer with pumpkin. Everyone loves these cookies! And I love your blog.

  16. I am trying the recipe tonight! Lovely! You mean pumpkin as opposed to pumpkin pie mix, right? Thank you for sharing!

  17. My goodness- we must have a connection! What a small world it really is. I am constantly surprised by how interconnected we all are. Those cookies are the best- my neighbor gave me the recipe and it was her mother's before that. I've been making them every week and munching away as I drink tea and enjoy the fall. Did it snow where you are yesterday? We got little flurries here and there-Have a great day!
