This is our hallway ~ before...
This is an old lamp that belonged to my
grandma...
The lamp now, spray painted cream with
a new shade...
And the dresser, now, painted a french gray blue,
with a different mirror,
and the 'new' lamp...
No more carpeting,
but a new white-painted wood floor
and runner.
And that's our hallway make-over!
It looks great! Wow, that was one wild and crazy lamp. It looks very pretty painted creamy white.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I agree, the paint job did wonders for the lamp. Now it's much more your style.
ReplyDeleteJust like a breath of fresh air. It turned out beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, Deb!
ReplyDeleteYour hallway looks so fresh and bright now. The paint on the lamp really softened it and made the details of the lady more subtle but interesting.
ReplyDeleteVery nice...the lamp sure does look much better.... Its a keeper now!
ReplyDeleteHey Deb! what a difference! The hallway looks great, so light and fresh. Well done.

ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
The lamp become beautiful and absolut a keeper!!
ReplyDeleteThe way your lamp turned out, well,
ReplyDeleteit is now perfect for your new hallway. Really like the painted floors!
Hi Deb, your ''new'' hallway looks great, what a difference a coat of paint makes, especially on the lamp, it ransformed it! Well done! Claire.
ReplyDeleteThe lamp is much more atractive cream. Great decision. Love it! Jean
ReplyDeleteSo bright and calming at the same time! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a little paint can do! The lamp went from gaudy to classy! Looks very fresh!
ReplyDeleteMakeover looks lovely. My parents had two matching male figurine lamps similar your grandmothers. Just black and cream though not as colourful as yours. They saw them in a store window and bought them on layaway when they were married in 1948. They were stylish back then.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to gather the courage to paint a piece of furniture that I can't stand the way it is right now. It's one of those shiny maple hutch thingies with glass doors and gold knobs. Send me courage. I want to take the doors off to show off my beautiful books and change the gold hardware.
ReplyDeleteLove the new look on the lamp!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely transformation. This is my first visit here, but it will not be my last. I really like what you do here and will be back often. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I wish I had a hallway big enough for such loveliness.... you made me recall, that we don't really even have one true hallway in our small cottage of a house, :o)
ReplyDeleteI must say the lamp looks much more like a lady now and less like a floozy. LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a great transformation! And wow, what a lamp! I'm surprised at how great it turned out. I love the whole look of your hallway... simple, clean.
