around the house this morning...

In the sunroom...some knitting in the basket--another drops design #119-8.  I'm working the shirred parts aroung the yoke; not too much more to go.  And, a new slipcover on the loveseat, that I made a couple weekends ago from some vintage linen damask tablecloths.

In the kitchen...a food cover ready & waiting for bug season.

Over the kitchen sink...some lilacs picked this weekend.  Not a good year for them apparently, as there are very few blooms on the bush.

On the mantle...a landscape finds a new home.

In my workroom...a tunic waiting to be finished, a 'cherry' print clothespin bag waiting to be listed, and

...plans being made for a giveaway sometime soon.
Happy May!

  3. I love all the little corners of your home...so cozy! The lilacs are beautiful. My lilac bush is loaded with buds this year. Must be a good year for us in Maine, (or at least in my yard). They won't be ready for probably a couple of weeks though. Can't wait to see your giveaway. What a treat!

Lovely corners of your home, spring is definitely here! What kind of yarn are you using for the new sweater you're working on?

  8. Grace ~ the yarn is from another thrift store sweater that I unraveled. It's a super soft wool in a charcoal gray tweed.

  15. I love the charming views we see of your home. Your slip cover looks wonderful! I can't even dream of white anything in my home. We have a black dog and a black cat.White would always be decorated with black animal hair. sigh...Thank you for sharing. It is always refreshing to see.

I really need to hit up some thrift stores and find some nice wool sweaters to unravel! That pattern is one of the many on my "queue'ed list" in ravelry.
