Yesterday's project ~ finished right after
dinner ~ was Margaret Oomen's Little Urchin
Crochet-Covered Sea Stone.
Finding a smooth round sea stone was
not hard as we have collected many over
the years' walks along the lake.
Covering it with lacy crochet was fun & fast...
fit in between the day's
chores, a few minutes here & there.
It was a bit fiddly getting started,
as my hands are not so graceful with small
work. Once I got going, it all went smoothly.
Many thanks to Margaret
for sharing her pattern.

ReplyDeleteCute it reminds me of a sand dollar!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! What a great simple project!
ReplyDeleteI have had that pattern bookmarked since summer. I even collected some stones from our cottage on the coast of Maine this summer. Years ago we used to find sea urchins on our shore but not anymore so it will be a little remonder of what was-if I ever get around to crocheting them!
ReplyDeleteDeb this is lovely, we too have many heart shaped stones from the seashore, so I will try this soon. Sweater looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteClaire

ReplyDeleteWhere, oh where, did you find so many heart shaped rocks? They're absolutely wonderful! I look and I look and never find ANY! What a lucky gal!
