I hope you all had a great weekend. On Saturday morning we headed to our county fair, where Mike was participating in a 5K run...I went along to cheer him on and had a look around at the fair exhibits and animals.
In the afternoon, we cheered Stephanie and Sparky on at their competition...we were happy for them when they received a 1st place blue ribbon in their division...
Sunday, we took a trip to the Sterling Renaissance Festival and had loads of fun watching the stage and street performances such as Daniel, Duke of Danger and his balancing acts... We loved the full-armoured joust and swordplay performance...one of the horses below waiting in costume......comedy and juggling by The London Broil Show was our favorite...We also saw the pirate show, Johnny Fox the sword swallower, a knife throwing show, and a presentation of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. There were dozens of artisans there demonstrating their craft and wonderful foods, including huge turkey legs! Great fun!
Yesterday I started on a camisole...I'm using the fabric from two vintage pillowcases...
...and I am just about finished with the bag I've been working on...maybe some pictures tomorrow.Have a great day!
I've always wanted to visit the Sterling Festival..some day perhaps.
ReplyDeleteThe camisole is looking wonderful. Creative use of the PCs..
I'll be back to see the bag!
A big congratulations to Stephanie and Sparky! The fair sounded like it was so much fun and also very interesting! Did you buy anything from the craft show or just get good ideas?? I love your newest project, you are so creative:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like lots of fun. The camisole looks pretty already! Looking forward to pics of the bag.
ReplyDeleteYou have a running husband too. My husband's run last weekend was just a little too long for him, 1km from the end he was winning and at the finish line he came 15th. Oh well it's wonderful that these old men keep on running.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a marvelous time! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI love the camisole. What a really cool idea for using that pillow case. You're using its pattern to great advantage. Can't wait to see it and your finished bag!
