The white shelf in the laundry room was seeming a bit plain, so I decided to add some decorative paper(a tip from Clarice) to bring in some color...
I found some pink (Martha) wrapping paper on clearance. The shelf does not have a back, so I cut some mat board, glued the paper to it, and mounted it to the back...

It looks so pretty. I love how little things, even affordable things can add a little splash of sweetness. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely job you have done! It is so amazing to see what you do. You are a constant source of inspiration.
So cute! I just love your laundry room - it makes me want to change mine, but it is SO tiny.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely. I almost wouldn't mind laundry duty with such a beautiful place to do it! Might even take my morning cup of coffee and just sit in there.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, changes the entire look. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your laundry room. Each time I see it, I get all green! I especially love the table that you covered for easy ironing. Cute paper on the shelf, too!
ReplyDeleteYou have my dream laundry room!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your laundry room is so pretty. It would almost make laundry more fun. Almost.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Linda
Very Cute! I LOVE your laundry room! I will come and do your laundry for you, just so I can be in that room!!
ReplyDeleteLove, Heather
What a great idea; it does indeed make a pretty difference. Your laundry looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am coveting that laundry cart!!! I have wanted one for ages now. Do you love it, or is it just cute?
ReplyDeleteNext house, the laundry room is going to be upstairs again and I hope I can make it look as good as yours!
God bless.
Terri
Hi Deb, thank you for leaving a comment at my blog yesterday! I responded to you there, but wanted to pay you a visit again here too!
ReplyDeleteI see others are commenting on how lovely your laundry room is. And I think so too -- how could I not!
A photo of your laundry room is what pulled me into your blog and convinced me to bookmark it! (The first "corner" I saw!)
Mine is the complete opposite, a dark horror in a dingy hall to the outdoors. One day (sooner than later?!), as we work on our cottage, I dream it could look a little more inviting like yours!
It looks lovely, Deb!
ReplyDeleteThat does make such a difference! I love to see use and beauty combined.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty laundry room Deb. I have the same washer and dryer but ours sit on the floor separately - I like the idea of them stacking better (makes lots more room).
ReplyDeleteYour shelf looks great! I've wanted to try that on the shelves in my studio.
ReplyDeleteOf course I love it cause that's the paper I used on the back of my corner china cabinet! Only I didn't find it on clearance - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteManuela
What a sweet laundry room! I hope to have one just like it someday!
ReplyDeleteSmiles...

What a fantastic idea! Your laundry room looks like a haven!
ReplyDeleteAshley
I LOVE your laundry room!! If mine looked like that I think I just might get some laundry done without dreading it. lol.
ReplyDeletePattie :)
i love your laundry room!!! it is sooo sweet and pretty! And that small makeover to the shelf looks great!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI found your site through a friend's site and I LOVE your pictures and your decorations! I am a country girl doing my best to make a country kitchen in my new home. Love your ideas! What a gift. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love your laundry room, especially the wide planking wood floor, how beautiful! And I love your updates, very fresh!

What a cute and simple idea! Totally transforms the shelf.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Let's trade laundry rooms. : )
ReplyDeleteI think I might actually look forward to doing laundry if my room looked like yours! Very tasteful!
ReplyDeleteYour laundry area looks charming. What a resourceful idea to cover the mat board! It sure makes laundry a pleasure when the room is so inviting. I love my laundry room also.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteThe shelf looks great...I've used paper to back shelves quite a bit...it's a neat, inexpensive redo!
Wow, your laundry room is gorgeous. Mine look like a tornado ravaged it. How does one get organized and tidy and keep it that way???!!!??!? I can get organized, but never can maintain order.... I can blame my two young kids and messy husband, but honestly, other people do it! I am hopeless.... :)
