So pretty. My simple pleasure was a bowl of sweet red strawberries! The simple things indeed bring so much delight and I know I don't always stop to ask myself that question! Thanks for asking! :) Blessings!
I was happy today with a simple bowl of sliced hot link in ranch beans after scrubbing on a gunky stove at the campgrounds. (Too tired? Eat leftovers!)
A friend of ours may treat us to icees later this evening, a nice cool ending to a hot day.
The greetings I receive each morning from my children and my chickens. Such a sweet way to start the day! :) http://heritageacreshomestead.blogspot.com :)
I just came back from a delicious bike ride with my 75 year old mother. We smelled lovely roses and honeysuckle along our route and at the end of our ride, a storm was brewing. Just as we arrived home the drops started gently coming down. It too smelled glorious.
My simple pleasure today was buying 3 skeins of blue coloured "fun" yarn, 1 pair wooden 6 mm needled and 1 needle a new knitting gage, all for $3. At another store I got a nice nubbly ball of variegated blue/green wool for 10 cents. I'm using it now.
My simple pleasure is the basket of apples I received from a friend. I'll be making applesauce or something in the very near future. But for now, I just love how they look. Love the basket, love the fruit, love how the fill the kitchen with their delicious sweet smell!
A light green bowl I bought from an estate sale. Makes one wonder what did the homemaker use this particular bowl for. I'm using it for my homemade potato salad my family raves about.

ReplyDeleteWashing and hanging out my winter blankets, in the sun! Yes, we finally have sun!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I need an old bowl like that. I love old dough bowls too but have not found one in my price range yet.
ReplyDeleteTonight, a rare short nap after supper on the family room couch with sunlight from the skylights shining in. A crazy hectic last week of school.
Yarn in wooden bowls, one of my favorite things! My simple pleasure today was watching my five yr old collecting eggs in the hen house today.

My simple pleasure for yesterday? A big brown paper bag full of luscious almost black cherries bought from a local market.
