workroom cleanup

A big cleanup going on in my workroom today.
Somehow, over the summer, it became
filled with clutter;
now that sewing season is here
I need to get organized.
So far, I'm about half way there...

  2. Deb I'm still a "new" sewer but am making the move to a proper room -- our spare room. I'll watch your clean up with interest as I'm not sure what i should have where. I like the idea of a blackboard like you have.

  4. I love that desk! It reminds me of my grandpa's desk he had in his office, when I was four years old drew a picture of myself on the top of it with crayons. He never washed it off. He covered that desk with a piece of glass to preserve my "artwork".

  5. It looks very serene. And like you are a natural organizer with a innate sense of balance.
    An inspiration!

  8. Lovely workroom! It's so fun to see the places where creativity and skill meet. I store some of my laces on old bobbins too -- love how that looks.

    What a comfy room! I love the map - I have exactly the same thing over my desk. It helps me keep perspective. : )

  13. lol! This is what I did on Saturday... now I can't find anything. ;) I thought it was organized in it's state of "confusion". You know what I mean.

    I'm afraid to mess anything up and yet now "where is it?"

    Have a great day - my friend. You're room is SO BEAUTIFUL - love your style and always will...

  15. I wish I had a room for all my sewing and projects! Right now, I've pretty much taken over our dining room to do all my sewing. For now, I'll just dream of having a work room that looks as wonderful as yours!

  17. What a lovely place to create and work in, and the cover on the footstool looks as good as it first did. I imagine that snuggling down in that inviting armchair, feet up on the footstool and some hand work (be it knitting or stitching) feels wonderful.

    Thank you for sharing your special space.

  18. Aloha Deb;
    Your room looks pretty good so far. I think my workroom looked organized and clean only the day I took pictures for the "Where Bloggers Create" party. It's getting cluttered again.
    Can't wait to see the rest of your room. Hugs.
