painting away

Lots of painting going on here...and lots more
to go--it's endless.
I thought it best to put another coat of paint
on the green benches before
the holiday, or one of our guests
would be sure to end up with a sliver.
The old toy box my dad made for us kids when
we were little is being put to use
on the back deck and was painted light green.
The clothesline trellis is all stained white
now--I actually never finished it last
summer because the morning glories climbed
faster than I could paint.
Honestly, I hope I never have to paint
it again--have you ever painted lattice??
it's a nightmare!
I also painted the hens' fence and the front
of the hen house, the rest hopefully to be finished
another day.
And, the color on this little metal table, which
I painted this spring was just not quite
the blue I had wanted {I do have trouble with
choosing colors}, and so when
I spotted a can of Krylon 'blue ocean breeze'
at the store, I decided to repaint...
How can you not love a color called
blue ocean breeze!
Have a great weekend :)

  1. I spotted that Blue ocean Breeze paint yesterday but I couldn't think of a thing that I needed that color! I may just need to rethink that decision tho!!

Wow you sure have been busy! Looks great as always! Happy 4th!!

  2. Love the new ocean breeze color and next time you have to paint lattace, go get the white plastic one! I know it is not 'green' but it is already white! :)

I love your chicken house - they must feel very happy living in such a lovely home!
    Happy Independence Day!

  4. I love all the furniture on your deck. What a comfy place to relax. And I love anything that's pale blue! :)

  5. Very pretty! It sure is a lot of work to do all that painting, but the fresh results are worth it. I bought several cans of blue ocean breeze too and have been busy spraying.

  6. Whew, you've been busy! I love the new blue, btw!
    Happy 4th!

  7. Everything looks fresh and clean. I do love the little blue table. Perfect!!
    Have a happy holiday weekend!

  8. I love all the projects you have done! Everything looks beautiful!! :)

  9. Wow, looks like you've been busy. With all that painting you've reminded me that I need to crack on and get our landing painted.

  10. Nothing like fresh paint to brighten everything up. Love the green picnic table set!

  11. I like all the things you painted - looks good! Yes, my folks and I once painted several sections of lattice work for fence - WOW! That was TEDIOUS. But it looked good when we were done. :) Have a great weekend!

  12. Love the green table, so pretty! Wishing you and your family a lovely 4th of July weekend.

  13. It's wondrous what a coat of paint will do! Everything looks beautiful :)

  14. Oooh, I love to paint anything and everything... well maybe not lattice. Your freshening up makes your yard and garden area such an inviting place to visit!

  15. I recognize your pretty red plaid bowl from Christmas time.

The green picnic benches are a great idea. I'll have to get my painter [husband] right on it.

  16. Your patio looks very inviting. I love the ocean blue. But most of all I love your hen house. It has such character.

  17. R really need it to cool down a bit here so I, too, can get some painting done. Maybe a trip to the paint store for some "ocean breeze" will motivate me! When I get it done, I'll post the pictures on my blog:

  18. beautiful blog..pls visit mine and be a follower.. thanks and God bless..

  21. I like that blue color, and do you know what I really love? The white table in the background of that picture! Do you spray paint the lattice? That's what I'd do.

Oh, I love the color of the table. It's nice to have something a little bright like that.

And I really like the idea of using the toy-box as a table/storage outside.

Thanks for sharing and happy painting. I've been doing a little touch up paint here as well.

  24. Love the olive oil can planter!
    Great work everywhere.
    Warm wishes, Tonya
