If you are going to be doing dishes, why not make it as enjoyable as possible?  The purpose of today's giveaway is to do just that for one of my wonderful readers.
One winner will receive two flour sack towels with a rose patterned border,
a hand knit organic cotton dishcloth
{I will be sharing this new pattern very soon},
and a bottle of Mrs Meyer's Clean Day dish soap
in their choice of lavender or geranium scent.
Just leave a comment,
and, if you like, tell us how you make a not-so-fun chore a bit more enjoyable.

I'll be over at Rhonda's down-to-earth forum today for an interview,
which you can find here ~ Part 1 and Part 2.
Thank you so much to Rose for inviting me and to Rhonda,
and thank you to all who have come over from the down-to-earth forum.

See you on Friday, 5/7, for the drawing...

Thank you for the chance! :)

  2. Listening to music always helps those chores go quicker! Or listening to a book on CD. Also, sometimes I will call a friend and chat away while I'm doing laundry or dishes. Next thing I know it's all done and I hardly remember doing it. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  3. I like to sing! I pull out all the old show tunes and hymns I can think of and really belt 'em out. Nobody can hear me over the noise of the vacuum cleaner!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I second the listening to music! Sometimes the chore seems sweeter when my girls are quietly drawling at the table as I clean up all the dishes and wipe down the counters, I get interrupted with, "Mommy look what I colored." and I just love it!
    Thank you for the opportunity!

  5. Oh, the towels are so pretty!! And I was curious about the geranium-scented soap when you mentioned it awhile ago on a post. I do my best cleaning when the TV is off and everyone else is still in bed! ha!

  6. what a wonderful drawing. I love your blog!

I wear a cute apron to make my jobs more enjoyable around my house!

    Thank you!

  7. Delightful giveaway....count me in.
When I am cleaning (which I am just about to start), I crank up the Golden Oldies and rock away! If I really need energy I pop some Zydeco in the player!! Can't sit still with that stuff going!

  8. I love to open my kitchen windows and feel the breeze and listen to the birds sing while I do my dishes. That is, if I can hear them over all the kids. :) :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Beautiful! Please enter me in your drawing.

  10. Thank you for the giveaway! I guess the only thing I do to make things more enjoyable when I work is to turn on the radio/music and a timer. This makes things go very fast :-)

  11. oh what a nice giveaway! we just purchased our first home, and for the first time in a long time, i don't have a dishwasher - these would make the chore much more cheery!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I love washing dishes by hand, even though I have a dishwasher. I love washing them with the windows open for fresh air and the singing birds. Sometimes a scented candle is nice too. What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you for doing this!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Music! I turn on some music and away I go!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Love your blog! I have favorite music I listen to...but sometimes just the act of bringing everything back into order is enough. Thanks for the giveaway.

  16. Oooh what a lovely giveaway. We have a dishwasher but I often have to wash certain items by hand. Just looking out of our sun room windows and seeing the sun shining through makes the task go by quicker.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I do my chores with my 3 year old daughter. It certainly takes a little longer but it is much more fun. I would love to win these wonderful products.

  20. When I've got the dreaded task of deep cleaning my bedroom, I put on the soundtrack to Mamma Mia!. And when I'm folding more than two loads of laundry, I'll time it to a PBS show that I usually miss, and I can watch.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Please include me in the drawing. I love the towels and dishcloth. I guess music is what makes my chores go faster.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Those towels are very pretty.

For cleaning I usually will catch up on some shows I missed, or put on so music. Slipping on an apron also helps get me in the mood.

    ReplyDelete
  23. How wonderful. Thanks for offering these goodies for someone.
To make chores go faster, I listen to music and sometimes offer myself a "reward" of a trip to the thrift store which is extremely relaxing and a fun thing to do.
    Best wishes,
    Diane

  24. You're right! for example, the bucket I use to wash the floor, etc., is a bright color and of course, some of the towels in my kitchen are of cotton damask, cuz I love that kind of patterning. So I would love to win this offering....the rose pattern is so pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I love the towels! My kitchen sink is in front of a window that overlooks our pond. This time of year I get to watch all kinds of wildlife, from fish jumping to ducks.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Deb,
I just know how awful it would be not to "get" to do my chores. I have a sampler on the wall that my Mother made for me years ago It reads "Hands to Work Hearts to God" and I think of that saying often especially when it's something I don't want to do Ha !
P.S Your handiwork is Beautiful !

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have not yet mastered making the not so fun chores fun. I hope that you share any good tips that you get for making them fun. thanks!

  33. Someone else mentioned this, but I too like to SING or hum as I work on a not-so-fun task. It makes the task all that much more tolerable and pleasant for me.

Thanks for the chance at a lovely giveaway. ♥

    ReplyDelete
  36. i do the chores with my children, but not with all three together! i pick one of them and while we do what we have to do we talk about school, work or something in his or her mind.
    thank you for the chance!

  37. What a lovely giveaway!

Without a doubt, dishwashing goes faster if I'm on the phone with my dearest friend. It does put a crick in my neck but it's worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, I also put on a beautiful CD I have of Spa music. Looking out my window at my garden and mountain view helps too! Your giveaway is very lovely. Thanks for the opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh please pick me! What a great giveaway.
I have found singing helps me get through my houseworks somedays, as well as my little ones helping me out :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Music always helps along with having the windows open. Thanks for this chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  41. What a great giveaway; love these items! :) I make my own cleaners using baking soda, vinegar, and good essential oils...I love mixing my own preferred scents; it makes cleaning more pleasant, and therapeutic at the same time. Also plug in some music.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Those would look really nice in my kitchen! You've got me making dishcloths again, although I haven't done it much before.

I like music and company (helpers) to make work more fun!

    ReplyDelete
  43. How nice of you to host this give-away! I try to keep the kitchen bright and cheery with the windows open (weather permitting) while I listen to old radio shows on tape. Works for me!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have a playlist of music on my computer titled "Housecleaning tunes", just for those days I need a little upbeat push to get through. I just pull it up and turn up the speakers.

Oh, the towels are so pretty! I hope I win!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thank you very much for a chance in this lovely giveaway, Deb. I don't mind doing dishes at all. My father always said that's why they had four kids so my mother didn't have to do the dishes. I'm off to Rhonda's. Thanks again.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Pretty, fun tools make chores a little easier. Dishcloths and towels in pretty colors, or a new ironing board cover are my favorites. When I'm really feeling a lack of motivation, I decorate one small area anew (mantle or dining table) so I have something pretty to see while I'm working!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Anything to help face the tedium of the dishes! Enter me, please?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I listen to an audio book that I have downloaded to my iPod.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love visiting your blog.
I don't like doing laundry but its fun if I get the kids to help with the folding. We all sit in the living room and fold away.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I love the towels and the dish cloth. I like to wash dishes by hand even though I have a dishwasher. I love looking out my window and just seeing nature. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  52. So generous! I have always disliked ironing. My husband has a job that requires button up shirts that require ironing. A few years ago I decided to turn ironing into something that wasn't about me. I turned it into a time of prayer of thankfulness first for being blessed with my husband and children and then for others in my life.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I SO enjoy your beautiful blog ~ it puts a smile on my face! =) Your waffle knit dishcloth pattern is one of my favorites to make. I look forward to seeing this new pattern.

I love to wear a pretty apron and to use pretty yet functional tools when I'm working on an unpleasant task.

    Thanks for the give away!

  54. Just recently came across your blog, and I love it! And what a nice giveaway. Pick me!

Chores are made enjoyable one of two ways: by using a cleaner that smells nice, or by having lots of good music playing. Or both at the same time!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Music helps, but I really love having functional things that are pretty and a pleasure to use (as in those lovely dishtowels!)

    ReplyDelete
  56. What a beautiful giveaway!

I will do one of two things... I crank the music and dance my way though.. or I get my Sansa (mp3 player) and listen to an audio book! I can't believe how quickly I can get through a book and get the house clean at the same time!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Call me weird but I really don't mind doing dishes :) Maybe because I spend more than 12 hours per day out of my house (commuting and working in an office), I enjoy doing things at home. Thank you for the great giveaway!

  58. I love your giveaway!

I always listen to music when doing "chores" around the house. I find if I'm listening to something I really enjoy the time flies... sometimes I even do more work.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I ALWAYS listen to music when I'm putzing around the house! It's true, it does make the time go by faster.
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win!
    :)

  60. Lately doing the dishes has been actually relaxing for me. After supper my husband and 8-month old have Father-son time while Mommy does the dishes! My fave dish cloths are my hand knit ones. I taught myself to knit recently and your pattern was one of the first dishcloths I completed :) I would love to win!
I love your blog and am so glad to have found it through down to earth.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks for the chance to win your beautiful gifties!!
I'm also a "music" cleaner! The more up-beat, the better!! LOL!
Amazing how much you can get done with a little CCR on the CD player!
    Thanks again!

  62. What a cute giveaway, the only thing fun about cleaning the kitchen is wearing an apron and getting it back in order after it's done. Love listening to music when someone isn't in the living room watching TV.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thank you for the giveaway. As for Chores...I wear rubber gloves. It seems that putting on gloves makes the job easier and I get so much more done.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Deb, Thanks for the wonderful chance to win this giveaway. Oh, I think your blog is lovely. I've been visiting several posts and they are creative and wonderful!
    Yvonne

  65. Love the towels! I also love listening to music or talk radio.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Ohh! I would love to have this give-away! I also find listening to music or a book on tape helps make my dull boring chores more enjoyable! I also love to have my 2 year old grand daughter "help" me clean by giving her a spray bottle of water and a towel so she can help me clean!

    ReplyDelete
  67. The things you have made are so gorgeous, as always! And to have some other wonderful things to help make the mundane task of washing dishes more pleasant is a great idea. When I have to wash dishes I focus on the end-result - a clean kitchen! A place I will want to return to.

  69. I have been reading your blog for a while and couldn't pass up this chance to enter your giveaway! To answer your question I would have to say turning on some good music and just getting to work.

Thanks for sharing you talents. Your blog is wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Oooh, how pretty! Count me in. :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. What pretty towels! Listening to music has always been nice, but I recently discovered listening to a really good book on CD is even better. I get caught up in the book and end up looking for more jobs I can do just to keep listening.

    ReplyDelete
  72. We love Mrs. Meyers! My daughter (15) and I were inspired by your Vintage Vertical Stripe Crocheted Blanket. She picked out 3 colors of wool/pima cotton yarn from our fabulous local yarn/fabric shop. It's turning out wonderful and is simple enough to be her first crochet project. My 4 year old daughter picked out some tiny cotton yarn for some doll blankets. We crochet in the evenings while watching back episodes of LOST. Thanks for introducing us to this pattern!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I prefer to do my household chores when everyone is gone somewhere. Since that rarely happens, at times I have to shoo people out of a room I want to work in. Sometimes I listen to music, but mostly I like silence, except when the weather is nice and the windows are open and I can hear the birds singing.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I love to do dishes by hand even though I have a dishwasher. I get nostalgic and think of my mother and past generations that washed their dishes/pots & pans by hand.

    Please pick me!

    ReplyDelete
  75. What a lovely sounding gift! I look forward to your sharing the dishcloth pattern. I have made and given away countless dishcloths that I knit from your Waffle pattern. It's easy, and yet not boring.

Oh, and I'd love to win this gift! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. With gear like that I'd give the dishwasher a break for a week or two. Please count me in :o)

    ReplyDelete
  77. I love your blog, and have been following you for nearly a year. As with others on here, music makes the chores go faster, so I turn on the radio or on the TV to the music channels to hear different genres. A way to make dishwashing and cleanup go faster, is to use colorful dishcloths!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I love your dishtowel tutorial! I am thinking it would make pretty curtains as well....When I do dishes I like to put on a pot of coffee and for a little extra aromatherapy and treat afterwards.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Lovely give away. When I get some time I am going to try making some pretty dish towels from your tutorial! I make chores more fun the same way you do. With the occasional new product and nicely scented cleaners.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Great giveaway. I too love doing dishes by hand.
    Warm hands, warm heart!

    ReplyDelete
  81. No matter the chore, what is helpful for me is some fun music and depending on the day of the week, a cocktail. Never hurts...always helps.

I just bought a house and it didn't come with a dishwasher, which is just fine with me. I love washing dishes by hand. Sorta soothes my soul.

    Love the dish towels.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I am not crazy about dusting, but I love the way my home looks when I am done. So while I dust away, I envision that I am 'blessing' my home and taking good care of I have worked for. I also get my little granddaughter to help em. She always has a fun outlook on everyday things.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Just envisioning the completed, clean results helps me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. I like your blog very much, it´s inspiring and beautiful. My hardest chore is ironing a pile of chlothes. I put the ironing board in front of a big window with a beautiful view in a daylight, listen to the radio and promise myself I will go into my sewing room when I have finished to do some sewing.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Having the proper equipment makes the cleaning more enjoyable and this giveaway would certainly help. I love the towels and dishcloth, and would like to try the soap after reading about in a previous blog. Cleaning is the most fun for me when my husband and I each pick an area to clean, set a timer, then turn up the music. When we are done we take a nice relaxing break together on the front porch!

    ReplyDelete
  86. In a word, "scent" is how I make cleaning easier.I make my own cleansers and add essential oils to them.No one wants to clean toilets, but if you are using a cleaner that smells like eucalyptus and mint....well,it's not so bad!!
Love, love, love the roses on the towels!! And I would love to win!

  90. To me, there really isn't a cleaning task that isn't made more enjoyable with some peppy music. And if there's enough space around me, I will sometimes have a 'dance party' and jump around with my border collie, who loves to have her front feet in the air as much as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Having a little bit of pretty or handmade in my tool kit usually gives me more peace when I'm doing those household chores.

    ReplyDelete
  92. How fabulous is this? Well I use this time to daydream. I usually have some sort of noise going on but not too loud. I want to make sure I am concentrating. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ooo - how beautiful! I simmer a little essential oil to get me in the spirit!

    ReplyDelete
  94. upbeat tempo of music gets me going! I love your dishcloths and have made several of your last pattern! thanks. Susan

    ReplyDelete
  95. What a lovely prize! So cheerful!

My kids and I play Sock Go Fish to match up our socks. (12 feet x 7 days in a week = a lot of mismatched socks.) We all grab a handful and go around holding up one at a time. "Does anyone have a white one with pink heels and a butterfly?" "Go fish!" When we get sick of that, we have a bonus round where everyone grabs as many matchers as they can in one minute. Much more fun!

    ReplyDelete
  96. yes please! i actually have my radio/cd player on top of the microwave right next to the sink so i can listen to music while i do chores like washing dishes. i also find myself doing dishes when neighbors stop by to chat. suddenly, my whole sink is empty and clean!

  100. I've always used flour sack towels in the kitchen and love them! My mother did a set for me a few years ago that are machine stitched pink birds and even though they are beginning to show wear, they still make the dish chore so much more pleasant. Love your taste and would appreciate being entered in your drawing...blessings

  101. I tried to leave a comment earlier and don't think it got posted. After having health problems, I am just grateful to be able to stand up long enough to do the dishes! Never thought I would feel like that, but I do now. Love your reading your blog and the give away is so nice of you.

    ReplyDelete
  102. please enter me in your give away.

  103. What a lovely giveaway! My chores go by happier when I open the right windows and doors to create a cross-breeze and throw homemade smell-good on the stove: a pot of water with orange rinds, a quartered apple, a few cloves, cinnamon and a little allspice. The fresh air invigorates me!

  108. Wonderful giveaway! I know it sounds silly, but I do a lot of laundry and it makes me happy to have my newly sewn clothespin bag hanging on the line and my home sewn ironing board cover for when I iron. I chose fabric that makes me happy and it just makes the tasks a little more joyful!

  110. Oh, what a fun giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win this!
My 14 y.o. daughter loves to sing while we work at the chores around here. Or we'll put on some 70's tunes and dance around while working.
I'm looking forward to a new pattern for dishcloths, as I've been making your other one for a while. I'm having surgery in about a month, and I will be stocking up on yarn to make a bunch more while recovering. Thank you for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  111. I try to see how much I can get done (load the dishwasher, fold clothes, etc.) during commercial breaks while watching TV at night. I have 3 kids (the youngest is only 1) so I can get more accomplished after they go to bed than during the day. It always amazes me how much I can complete in just a few minutes!

    ReplyDelete
  112. What a wonderful give-away! I'd love to have my name added to the pot. Beautiful!
    Thanks and God bless,

  114. Hi Debbie-Thank you for a wonderful giveaway. I also, put a CD on or listen to my ipod and crank it up my favorite CD is Women of Faith, "Boundless Love". Sometimes, also when I'm doing a chore and feeling pity party for myself for doing so much work, I will start praying and thanking the good Lord for the House I have, the pretty dishes, etc. nothing like being thankful to get you out of that stupidness. Love to meet with you sometime, I live in East Amherst and you must be pretty close to me.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Fabulous winnings for the little giveaway.

I usually done one of my aprons that I have made, with old fashioned fabric prints used and find it enjoyable when the ducks are swimming in the small pond out back that I can see perfectly from my kitchen window over the sink.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I just love those dish towels. Thanks for offering .

    ReplyDelete

  120. Any chore done with my doggies by my side is no chore at all!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Flylady says some to the effect that housework, even done incorrectly, still blesses your family. Thinking that is how I get through my not-so-favorite chores.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I like to have a project that I can use as my "go to" in between my chores. It makes the chore go quicker and as I don't really like doing chores my mind is otherwise occupied on thinking about how fast I can get another row done.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Music, music, music. Not gonna lie - it's New Edition circa 1990'ish. Love 'em. They've seen me through many of less than pleasant (but oh so necessary) chores!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Using pretty tools like you are giving away make those jobs so much more enjoyable. Thank you for the opportunity to enter :o)

    ReplyDelete
  125. I set the timer for 15 minutes (per Flylady, you can do ANYTHING for 15 minutes), put on a podcast or music, and FOCUS on the task at hand. Pretty soon, 15 minutes are done and I can do something FUN!!!

  128. Wow Looks like I've got lots of competition for that prize.I guess I have to say day-dreaming about my crafts helps make the chore of dishwashing fly by.At least it seems that way to me.

  129. Ironing is my least favorite chore. But...if I open my front door, I can look out from my ironing spot and see the Allegheny Mtns. If I look out the back door, I can see the Blue Ridge Mtns. Just viewing God's creation while doing a not-too-well-liked chore surely helps put things into perspective. I'd LOVE to win your giveaway!

  130. I turn on some talk radio and listen to take my mind off what I am doing. Thanks for the giveaway and here's hoping I win!

  133. Love your towels and dishcloth, and would love for them to come to my house! I may not have tons o' fun while doing the dishes, but when the sink is empty, and I hang a towel over my vintage towel rack, I always think how happy I'm going to be when I walk in the kitchen in the morning and find it clean.

  136. I usually bribe myself to finish chores with a little reward like chocolate! But this would be a great inspiration when washing up, and timely too as my dishwasher is on its last legs and I'm not sure when we'll be getting a new one.

  137. Fantastic giveaway Deb!!! I absolutely LOVE each of the items!

I like to turn on beautiful music to do my chores to. The music can lift my spirits and helps to make the time pass quickly!!! :)

  138. I've won a giveaway from you before, so please don't include me on this. I just wanted to say that I look forward to your dishcloth pattern. I've knitted several from your other pattern, and it's my favorite to work on. Thanks!

I would love to win the giveaway.I have been searching for Mrs.Meyers high and low with no luck here in SC.I would love the geranium scent, I think.

  141. What a lovely blog you have!
    I also listen to music when I clean-though, I must confess....I LOVE housework! Sick...eh?!

  142. What a wonderful give-a-way! I have a window above my sink and I try to make my view interesting by my gardening choices. Just out my window is my raised bed vegetable garden; wind mill, shed with bird feeders attached and along the fence we have created a small woodland garden. Always lots of birds and butterflies. And in the morning we get to be greeted by our dog sitting on the ramp to the shed letting us know she is ready to be fed. And if it's a major clean-up job like from a family gathering I may have some "cleaning music" in the CD player - Prince is one of my cleaning favorites.

  143. Oh, deeeeeeeeaarrrrr! If I don't like a chore, I avoid it at all costs. That seems to make it better. =] Happily, though, I love to do housework. There are those few things, though.... and, I must confess that I am starting to feel that doing the dishes is a futile part of life. If I really don't want to, I just do a little every day. 15 min. and then that's it, but, then, I come back the next day and get the thread going.

Thanks to you for inspiring us!

    Love, Katy Noelle

  146. I am a ponderer. When I do any chore (dishes or shopping) I think of the event that just occured & how fortunate I feel to have my family around me. So not even the largest pile of dishes ever bring me down, besides isn't it "the larger the mess - the better the meal" LOL

  153. What a beautiful set of lovelies! To make dish washing more enjoyable I light a candle on my windowsill above the sink and try to find a pretty towel for the counter. Somehow those two things help. Don't you just love the geranium scented Mrs. Meyers? I have the counter spray and it makes me smile to smell it as I clean.
    Thank you,

  154. I have come to, upon occasion, enjoy the jobs no one else wants to do. The reason? It usually assures me that I have some alone time. No one wants to come around for fear that they may be called upon to help. So, while working, I think, plan, schedule, pray, dream...some things I find it hard to get time alone to do. It makes the job go faster, and I don't dread the job so much. Love your work!

  155. Right now, the only pleasure out of doing dishes is being able to see my shiny metal sink afterwards, and also the chirping the cat does while I'm standing there scrubbing away.

But some beautiful towels could make all the difference in the world.

  156. Sometimes I like quiet so I can concentrate on the chores at hand, and sometimes music helps me get into the groove.

I've been enjoying your blog for about a year now. I've been knitting washcloths from your pattern, and they make great gifts. Thank you so much for sharing your talents.

  157. I put on Sly and the Family Stone and go to it! The only problem is that I start dancing with the vacuum cleaner -- and the windows are open -- I'm so certain I've given the neighbors a good show.

  164. My least favorite household chore is sweeping the kitchen floor. I've taken to use it as time to dance to the music on the radio. It doesn't look so crazy to dance with a broom in your hand.

  168. What a nice giveaway! I try to involve my little one in my daily work. She's only 1 year old and sometimes her "help" creates more work, but it is a joy to watch her "fold" laundry or play with tupperware while I wash dishes. Plus, then it's done and when she naps I get some ME time!

  175. Music is always helpful... But I have to say, one of the things I dislike the most is folding socks! So since I have to watch DVD's for homework, I fold socks while watching my homework! Whatever it takes, right?

  176. I think of Laura Ingalls and imagine how awe struck she would be if she could see all the tools that make house cleaning so easy today. Makes me happyto be living in the 21st century!

  177. What a lovely giveaway! Your crafting is very inspiring. My two oldest daughters (age 10 and 8) help with the dishes, and that makes it so much more enjoyable to have help! :)

  178. I love washing my dishes by hand. For some reason it helps me to tune out the chaos around me and I usually end up having a long talk with God. I love using dish soap that smells nice, especially lilac or lavendar, and using pretty dish towels to dry the dishes. I have a beautiful view of the back yard over my sink so I often am watching various wild critters make themselves at home in my garden. On my window sill I grow herbs and display a constantly changing collection of teacups, vases, and bowls. I would love to win your give-away gifts and I love reading your blog!

I love your website... so many wonderful ideas for the home!

I make a not-so-pleasant chore more enjoyable by getting a good night's sleep the night before. If I'm tired, nothing goes right... but if I'm rested, even those days where everything seems to go wrong, don't seem quite so bad. :)

  187. During the day washing up is not so much of a chore because I can look out the window and see the world go by. In the evenings I've got so much else on my mind, like planning what I'm going to do after the chores, that the time goes quickly! Please enter me in the draw, I'd love to win these goodies. And I'm looking forward to the new dishcloth pattern having knitted quite a few of your other one for friends.

  188. LOVE this giveaway! And love your blog - it's so inspiring. My tips are to listen to an audio book or some upbeat music, and use essential oils to make those really-not-fun chores, like mopping the floor, a bit more tolerable...just add a few drops to your mop water.

  189. THinking it might be too late, but I'll leave the comment. I really don't mind doing the dishes, just need to enjoy that right now I have the time to wash and smile and think...
