spring sewing

Before:

After:
~A cheap bedroom update for spring~
  • duvet cover sewn from two thrifted sheets~a queen size floral on one side, plain white on the other
  • cushion covers sewn from a green polka dot {fabric on-hand} on one side and floral on white {from a thrifted pillow case} on the other
It's dark and rainy outside,
but definitely feeling brighter inside!

Sooo pretty, I admire you. I have sewed tow covers and they made me crazy and are NOT straight. Those straight lines, the bain of my existence xoxox Clarice

I LOVE the cardinal pillow! It just makes the bed! Wish my hubby would let us have a duvet and cover, he has to have lots of weight on him and likes quilts and afghans better.

After 5 months of no rain and soaring high temps in Summer, we awoke to cold & rain on Easter Sunday morning. So welcome! The fireplaces started up the first fires of the season, no doubt (just plain old wood, firelighter, newspaper and maybe some coal type fires.....not fancy gas ones! No central heating in any homes, though we sure could use it!!). Love all of your sewing, Deb. South Africans love their duvets here. Since I'm American, I've compromised with duvets for my teenage childrens and sheets, blankets & bedcover for my husband & I....with all of us having extra blankets and/or afghans on top in Winter.
