This past weekend flew by as weekends tend to do
when filled with much goodness:
- a trip to the farmers' market
- some antique browsing
- local peaches-sweet and delicious
- lots of blueberries still being picked
- banana bread made
- and finally, those zinnias were picked--aren't the green envy's great?
Deb
I've got to admit..the little donkey caught my eye being in town on the sidewalk...and then he wasn't mentioned. He was at the Farmers Market? I love the zinnias...I planted some more awhile back.
ReplyDeleteThat adorable donkey was being walked around, apparently from the nearby petting zoo...Deb
DeleteI too am intrigued by the little donkey...
ReplyDeleteRose, there was a petting zoo nearby and I think he was just out for a walk--he was so cute!...Deb
DeleteZinnias are so lovely, and of course, I would love to kiss that little donkey.
ReplyDeleteI am envious of your green envies. I really am and I couldn't help that, sorry. Zinnias are my favorite flower. I need to plant some next year.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect weekend to me! Love your sweet photos. xx
ReplyDeleteI love your bread box. I see them, and forget that I would like to paint one also....and then I saw one over the weekend, but it opened at the top. So sorry for the tragedy in your community. Thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! It reminds of that song every single one of my grade school music teachers had us sing: "I got a mule; her name is Sal. 15 years on the Erie canal!"
ReplyDeleteYikes, Deb, I drove right past there on Saturday on the way to baseball. I live about four blocks west if there. Next time I drive by I will look for a donkey and stop and say hello!
ReplyDeleteBlueberries also looks so yummy! Your zinnias are very pretty, but I love the donkey! He's so cute :-)
ReplyDeleteSarah xx
beautiful photos!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful zinnias! Life is much the same here in northwest lower Michigan... blueberries, peaches, zinnias... beautiful time of year.
