This is just a super busy time of year here, as it is for many of you I'm sure. I still have tomatoes, onions, and peppers to harvest from the garden--we had an unexpected, light frost the other night...thankfully it didn't hurt anything though the tomato ripening has slowed down considerably. I have apples and roma tomatoes waiting to be baked and processed...waiting because I've been painting the pasture fence while we have some nice weather here. So relieved to have finished that job today!
Anyway, it was wonderful to get away to the lake for a few days...time to read, trails to walk, nature to observe, gorgeous sunsets, bike rides, campfires to enjoy, and smores to savor--our version is:
- a perfectly golden brown, gooey-in-the-middle toasted-over-the-fire marshmallow, placed between
- 2 dark chocolate coated butter keks {I find mine at Aldi}--chocolate layer to the inside of course :)
Sounds like a wonderful break. So pretty there too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sunset. Enjoy your rest. The produce will be there when you get back.
ReplyDeleteA perfect end to the summer... and who doesn't love a slightly golden gooey marshmallow?

That yellow flower looked like wattle at first glance Deb!
