a big thank you

Thank you for the most wonderful comments on the last post; I had so much fun reading them all!! There is never anything but friendliness from all of you who visit, and I will never cease to appreciate that.

Here's a little bit of what I've been doing when not out in the gardens weeding.
knitting~

...'Owls' by Kate Davies and hoping to have it finished before the snow flies. I'm using 2 strands of Lion Brand wool::color Natures Brown purchased at Joann Fabrics with 40% off coupons.

baking~ ...Zucchini bread courtesy of Paula Deen, a perfect way to use up those zucchini ~ it's excellent and going fast!

Reading ~
...found this at a great price, used, online ~ a short but very sweet book.

projects ~

...this yard sale folding table, only $2.50 and transformed with some paint...

Behr's Light French Gray eggshell finish.

And no, the whole floor is not finished yet {did we really think it would be done by July?!} as there's waaay too much outdoor work right now--I will be so glad when it is finally finished!!!

  8. I love the pattern and the color. I've started an afghan in a Country blue that I want to have done by the time cooler weather arrives.
The table is lovely in that color. I really do like gray. It is such a peaceful, soothing sort of color.
Thank you for another lovely visit.

Oh yes, but the floor looks so great so far! Looks so pretty with the new folding table and the red & white striped bowl. I like the footstool too - a thrifted find recovered?

  18. The owl sweater is a wonderfully ambitious project. I look forward to seeing it when it is finished. I have bedroom dressers to paint and have been seeing many spray painted furniture pieces on various blogs. Your tray looks so perfect so I’m wondering if it was brush painted or spray-painted.
