And as an aside, I have to tell you that I love your header photo. It always takes me a minute to recognize the buttons in the bowl...my first thought is always that they are white chocolate covered pretzels. Hmmm...what does that say about me? :)
Everywhere looks lovely and I bet the lilacs smell wonderful too, I only have a small white lilac tree which has been over for a few weeks, I picked a few blooms when they first came out. Claire
I haven't smelled lilacs for a very long time. I miss that and yours look lovely. I finally made a dishcloth from your Aunt May's pattern. It was a challenge for me as I kept losing focus but now I'm ready to start my 2nd and it should go easier.
Beautiful lilacs! Mine bloomed weeks ago and they were also lovely. They're definitely one of my favorite flowers, right up there with my peonies that are blooming now. :)
My lilac bush is extra special as it was given to me by my dad--it was taken from my grandmother's lilac bush, which had moved with her after she was married...sort of a family heirloom.
Your lilacs are lovely. Ours are just in full bloom now.... a rite of passage into summer is sneaking behind a forbidden hedge at night and picking a bouquet.... or snatching a few while biking down an alley way.

Lilacs are my favorite. Unfortunately we don't have any in our yard so I have to covertly go and sniff the neighbors.
