nothing exciting...

Just a  lot of the ordinary going on here lately...cooking, laundry, cleaning--{I completely emptied the fridge and gave it a much needed overhall and it's sparkly clean now ~ on to the dreaded oven next}--gathering eggs, weeding, walking the dog, washing the dog, and thinking of what I need to get done.  Like starting some plants from seed...I found these wonderful zinnias {seeds} in a lime color; they're call Envy and I can't wait to see them in person.

I've also been sewing and hope to have a few envelope system wallets available for sale thanks to the generous Veronica, of Veronica+Walter, who kindly gave me the go-ahead.  I'm using my own and liking this system very much.  Although I track expenses on Quicken, it's so much easier and very apparent to take a look in my wallet and see how much cash I actually have on hand...it's definitely working :)

Hope your day is good!

  1. It seems a lot of bloggers that I follow are in recharge and regroup mode. That's when ordinary chores become the path to new ideas. I did the Envy Zinnias several years ago and they were exactly that.......the envy of all my gardening friends. That was before I started writing my garden on paper. Thanks for the reminder I'll be looking for them at my garden center

  2. I can't wait to see the envy zinnias. They look very pretty on the picture. Is that a scented geranium? I have one that I rescued from the dollar bin that I didn't think was going to make it last year. This year it has one lavendar bloom!
I love seeing your day-to-day pictures! Even if nothing exciting is going on. ;o)

    1. Thanks Karen. No, the geranium there is not a scented one, though I do have some perennial scented ones in my gardens that I love....Deb

  7. Ah yes, the dreaded oven. Maybe this will inspire me to clean the fridge. I'm working on emptying the freezer, getting ready for this year's bounty. The pictures of your home are always lovely to see.

Stop HHS Mandate button? Really? Surprising.

What is truly surprising is that The HHS Mandate violates the United States Constitution and statutory law. The HHS Mandate violates the free exercise of religion and the freedom of speech – both guaranteed under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. It also violates, among other laws, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
What is surprising is that the HHS manadate orders insurance companies to provide free birth control of any kind to anyone who wants it effective August 2012. The World Health Organization classifies the birth control pill as a Class 1 carcinogen--our administration is ordering the free distribution of a known carcinogen to women...why?
It's just my hope that people make themselves aware of all the facts involved.
      Thanks for your comment,
      Deb
