Friday, already?!

Where did the week go?...a few mornings out of the house for errands and appointments and it seems all my normal routines fall by the wayside.
As I look around me, everything needs a dusting and vacuuming, and the laundry cart is overflowing!

A winter storm came and left us with over a foot of snow.  It was really too deep for the cross country skiis, but we headed out anyway and enjoyed the scenery and exercise.  Next year, I'm thinking we'll buy some snow shoes for Christmas...

I did pick up three knitting books from the library--not that I should let myself start any more projects!--but I still love paging through them this time of year.
A Knitting Wrapsody: Innovative Designs to Wrap, Drape, and Tie is all about scarves, wraps, shawls, and skirts; Vogue Knitting on the Go! Ponchos ...self-explanatory; and Knitting Everyday Finery: Practical Designs for Dressing Up in Little Ways *, which has patterns for everything from cowls, bags, and tams to vests, cardigans, socks, and much more--my favorite book of the three.

Have a great weekend!

  5. What a beautiful snow scene! It is just grey and dreary this side of the pond ... Have a good weekend with your knitting books.

  6. Intriguing photograph of the bird and the shadow. We haven't had much snow, but the last one was beautiful. Large snowflakes falling slowly as if to dance. The kind I so love.
I too love looking at knitting and crocheting books this time of year, seems soothing doesn't it?
