Some highlights of my visit to Chattanooga, TN...
~ fabulous antique shopping
~ a visit to the Chattanooga Choo Choo
~ the Terminal Station is beautifully restored
~ a ride on the Incline Railway up Lookout Mountain
{ Talk about STEEP!...I don't even like heights, but I still enjoyed this...the
grade here at the top is 72.7% {scary!} but the
view is breathtaking. }
~ a walking tour of downtown Chattanooga
~ a beautiful place for sure... and, we found a little cafe
with outdoor seating and amazing chocolate eclairs,
a perfect ending to our day.

wow, after viewing your pictures, I think I will put Chattanooga on my list of "must do". Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis town looks like my kind of place. I have always wanted to visit some of the beautiful older cities down south. This proves the trip must be made!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fabulous place to visit! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! How neat that you were able to visit! I live in Trenton, which is just 20-30 min from Chattanooga. Because Trenton is so small, we frequent Chattanooga about once a week for things we can't get around here and for our kids Boy Scout meetings! I agree Chattanooga is a beautiful place. Glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Chas
Looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThey have done a lot of work in Downtown...it looks beautiful...
ReplyDeleteBy any chance do you ever drive up Signal Mtn on 'the W'? It's my aunt's favorite route to reach her home up on the brow-I must admit I had to close my eyes the first couple times out of fright! ~ { it's very flat where I come from :-) }
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!

Oh yes! :) Did you see the space ship house? LOL! Every once in a while there is a long yard sale that goes up through that way and we head in that direction. It's always fun when we do. I live on top of Sand Mtn. So mountains have always just been part of my life. Well, not HUGE mountains, but a mountain nonetheless. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I did see the spaceship house-I did a double take as we passed by. Really unique-I would have loved that as a kid!

Love your vacation pictures. Glad to hear Knitting Mill Antiques is still there. I was going to visit it last summer, but a friend of mine insisted it had closed.
ReplyDeleteUsed to live 20-some miles from Chattanooga.
I love your "home-again" photos on the next post even more! Glad you enjoyed your vacation but happy you came home to so much beauty.
:) How fun! It's neat to hear when someone I have met in blog-land comes through. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteChattanooga is fantastic! I live up in Williamson Co. I can't wait to visit Chatt again soon, it was way too hot last time I was down there. Tennessee is so beautiful right now!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a long time since I'd been there, and the fall weather was just perfect!
